Devil's heartbeat Empty
PostSubject: Devil's heartbeat   Devil's heartbeat EmptyFri May 16, 2014 8:39 pm

Theo ventured through the hospital, the badge flapping gently against his chest as he walked. He was wearing a suit, meaning people, usually moved out of the way. Theo wasn't really sure what he was supposed to do when up against a woman who was rather mumbling under her breath at some morgue…that was down stairs. That had perked his interest, of course he was trying to cover it up, his pace hurried a bit and he undid the buttons of his jacket, allowing him to breathe.

He took off his jacket, upon coming down stairs to the morgue and placed it on the coat rack among some other lab coats. Theo looked around the cooling atmosphere, a shiver ran along the spine as it sent messages to the rest of his body to warm up and adjust. There were steel cupboard lining every side of the wall and he allowed himself to smirk ever so little. His client was supposed to meet him upstairs but he had gotten bored and wanted to explore the place.

Theodore tilted his head in the thought that he may meet some of his old clients down here. He moved over to the first cabinet, his hand hovering over the handle, before it seemed to change it's mind and move to the next one, yanking it open.

Sure enough, there laid Jade Henries, a drug smuggler who had unfortunately mugged him off and even tried to murder him. Amateurs... He thought, remembering the time that she had attacked him and the looking in her eyes as he had inserted the blade into her neck. That made him chuckle.

"Poor Jade…poor, poor, Jade." He said, pushing the cabinet close and wheeling around to get his jacket back on as the chill had gotten to him.

Jim Moriarty chewed numbly on a peice of gum as he entered Saint Bartholomew's Hospital. A smile remained plastered on his face as he causally walked through the maze of corridors, retaining an unusual familiarity of the building from a past visit. "Oh, it would be awkward if Molly was here!" he mused in a high pitched voice, though it couldn't be further from his intentions. Moriarty was there to employ the services of Theodore Gillroy. A criminal who recently caused an up-stir within the Underground Network, and thus caught his attention. It was rare such an event should happen, and only two other times it occurred with Sherlock and Sebastion. One man a genius portraying potential, and the other, an old loyal acquaintance. What Theodore would bring however, he didn't know.

After moments more of navigating, Moriarty found an opening office leading to the morgue. During his stride down, he noticed an additional jacket on the coat rack. Ah, already here I see. Without another thought, he snatched a lab coat and a clipboard, replicating the appearance of a Doctor. Moriarty had to be prepared, for the first impression would establish the dominance in their relationship. It would be a glimpse of each other's personas and a lingering judgement that would be applied throughout the entirety of their association. But what if these aspects were manipulated? What if the appearance is but a deceit? Moriarty took this on a literal level as he entered the Morgue, acting as an insecure coroner.

"Hello? Is...is somebody down here?" Quickly, and perhaps unnecessarily, he raised his fingers to his mouth, biting the tips in an attempt of depicting nervousness. Eventually he planned to end the charade, though beforehand, he needed to prove a point. That Moriarty himself, was the dominant male, and that no matter the situation, he always achieved his goals regardless of his own unorthodox methods.

Theodore didn't react at the fact that the door open, warily eyeing the newcomer. Either he hadn't kept up much with his doctor appointments or they were becoming rather vain. The man had the same slicked back hair as he did. But something told him that this man was no coroner. He simply straightened up slightly, pushing off the cabinet and walking past the man, grabbing his jacket. It was something about the false air surrounding the nail biting. Theo simply ignored it and proceeded to put his jacket on.

"Yes, routine checks. Sorry to barge in like this but my boss, she's breathing down my neck to get the reports in." He said, looking the coroner in the eyes, some may call him foolish for doing so but he was simply taking advantage of what he had in the room.

Theo straightened out his jacket collar and his hand hovered above the door handle, the man took care in his appearance, not to mention that the gum chewing had started to get on his nerves. Right now , could have gauged the eyes out of the man and no body would find out until they opened one of the draws and found his body inside, frozen.

"Actually, that can wait for tomorrow, I really must be going."
