PostSubject: Business as usual   Business as usual EmptyWed Jun 04, 2014 2:06 am

It had been years since Kio had found himself at a race track, and as much as he wished it was, this trip wasn't for pleasure. He was on a job, thanks to Sage, and he needed to do some research and reconnaissance before he found himself in too deep. He paced through the doors and adjusted his beanie, pulling it down a bit further and adjusting his sunglasses. He didn't look horribly unusual in them, it was an unusually bright day, but still rather chilly.

He looked around every corner, searching for any sign of El Diablo in the crowded track. He exhaled and stepped around a corner, finding a designated smoking area and lighting up immediately, taking a deep drag and letting the smoke linger before he exhaled, letting the smoke plume around him. This job was frustrating already. He asked around the underground network and no one knew anything more of El Diablo other than his records online, until one person had told him that he had reportedly been spotted around the race track.

Kio jumped on the hint immediately, finding himself trapped in the crowds of the racegoers and fans. He exhaled and flicked out his cigarette once it was down to the filter. He melded into the nearest group of people, slipping back into the bleachers and looking around for anything that could trigger a warning to him.

Theo wasn't pleased at all, after seeing what that little misfit of a hacker had done, especially with his pretty clear warning of death if she went and contacted the police. He had sent one of his men after her, just to tail her, see what was going on and he had reported with that. Theo was the boss of this racetrack and he had to look nice, so he stood amongst the crowd, a false smile planted on his face, wearing a suit of black and red, watching the race progress.

There was someone new in the racetrack, a beanie wearer. He watched as the man had lit up a cigarette and finished it off. A guard came up to him and whispered something into his ear. Something about another client, thus taking his gaze away from the man with the beanie. Theo sat down, his arms spread out across the chairs on either side and his legs crossed over from one another.

"Look, call off the hit. We can't afford anymore fooling around with this man, you saw what happens to a failed assignment now, don't you, Travis? Off you pop." And so the man went away and Theo remained in his position, watching heads move amongst the crowds.

Kio furrowed his brow when he saw Theo. The air the man had around himself was about what he had expected, but there was something about him that worried Kio. He watched Theo for a short moment before he sunk back down into a seat and watched the race. It wasn't long, though, before he found himself growing restless again and pacing back into the halls. He knew what his target looked like now, where he could be, but he knew today was not the day for him to make his move.

He kept his head down, watching the people around him as carefully as he could without letting his own face be seen too much more. He took a deep breath and soon found himself at the front entrance of the track again, making his way back out where he could think in a bit of quiet, or at least think without the chaos of the track chasing him around wherever he went.

Theodore was growing weary of watching people simply cheer as the horses came around, his head whipped around, looking for any sort of activities that he would allow on any other day but not today. He got up, straightening his jacket and getting up.

There were a mass of people huddled in the top corner, although a small group, they were very animated around what they were doing. Theodore walked up to them, smirked as they turned around. They gave him a few dirty looks before seeing that he wasn't somebody that they could mess with, they could tell it was his turf that they were stepping on.

Of course, they knew exactly who he was. To them, he was El Diablo. They had gone of muttering it under their breaths to one another. Theo shook his head and tried to locate the beanie wearer but to no avail.

Theo began walking, a distance to the front gate but sharply turned left and into a small shed in which people simply assumed it was for electricals and things like that but it was something more of a 'bat cave' that stored his mask. He ran a finger along the mask, it was time to pay a visit to that hacker, he had done his research, she was Sage and worked in the building of Scotland Yard. That hadn't put him off.

Not yet…

((Sorry about being late with this response, had exams))

(( ah, no worries (: ))

Staying in the shadows, away from the groups and crowds, Kio could see where the man went. As much as his better instinct told him to stay away, he couldn't keep himself back. He approached the shed silently and slipped within behind Theo. "Starting to get the itch again, Diablo?" He said softy from the corner, peering at him slightly.

He stepped out and looked Theo over. He wasn't exactly what the young Italian had expected to see, but he wasn't really surprised. They were never what one anticipated. They couldn't be, or they would be caught right away. So seeing a business man was really no shock to him. "I would think you could take the temptation out on someone else, someone a little less important than a Yarder?"

A shuffling in the background made his hand drop back to his side, a voice made him pause before turning around, a blank face with a raised eyebrow was all this intruder was going to get. "Oh, I've always had it." Theo frowned on the next sentence the man spoke, it was the beanie wearer. No surprise there.

The man was tailing about Sage…but why send this scuff bag to find him? If she was in with the police…smart cookie. "I had some rather important files stolen from my computer by someone hacking it, I'm sure someone with her talent had done such a thing." Theodore slowly placed both hands into his pockets, one of which contained a pocket knife. He couldn't afford to start a fire like he had done in the restaurant, it was too risky and he wouldn't want to be interrogated by the police, that was the last thing he wanted, so the way of the knife it was.

"Well, her talent doesn't mean it was her..." He hummed, cautiously taking a step forward. He kept his hand on his hip, in case he had to draw a weapon quickly. "Come now, Il Diavolo..." He purred in a soft Italian accent, "Can't we talk this out? Or do we have to play hardball?" His tone was a bit disappointed, as if he were scolding a child.

"If it were up to me, we could just talk this out... And you would leave the poor Yarder alone.... And we could put all of this behind us, yeah?"

"You want to play hardball, don't you?" Theo smirked. The man was an eager one, he began to chuckle before suddenly halting and glaring into the man's eyes. "Look, she's seen my face. You can go tell her…oh wait. You'd be dead by then, Italian."

Theodore didn't want to take anymore bull-crap from this man. The woman had paid him to talk him out of killing her, how sweet. The Italian's tone did nothing in the impact of being scolded, it looked as if the man didn't know who he was really dealing with.

"I made a promise…I'm here to collect. So why don't you trot off back to your little dark corner and I'll go and make progress with my little hacker friend from the Yard, shall we?"

He pulled out his pocket knife and tilted his head, was the man going to react in the way that he hoped or would he have to strike first?
